PREACH! i hope your reply to that ridiculous rant about rogen's comments gets all the attention it deserves. so fucking stupid to try to spin it into a race thing. every you said you is on mark. amen. and rogen made a very good point. Thank you, man. The sad thing is unfortunately - and as is the case with people on Tumblr - they somehow have it up in their ass somewhere that they’re all radicals who see everything as a possible misstep and what they say is some kind of Gospel. And, in that regard, they wind up preaching to the choir. (So much religious imagery - wtf) And yeah. I might be on a white, middle class, privileged pedestal, but so what. I know that. And I know what I have to say is my own opinion. And honestly I don’t care if it offends people. Because I know I’m not 100% right to everyone 100% of the time. But this reaction is appalling especially since Rogen’s take on the situation was marked with some great sense of clarity and wit. |
